Fremont man accused of threats

A Fremont man was arrested Friday after being accused of threatening neighbors and spitting on officers, Fremont Police reported.

Jose Rodriguez, 39, was charged with three counts of third-degree assault of a peace officer and one count of assault by a confined person, Class IIIA felonies; making terroristic threats, a Class IV felony; and disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct, Class III misdemeanors.

Lt. Jeff Elliott said officers were called at 9:22 p.m. Friday to the 800 block of N. D Street where Rodriguez was accused of threatening neighbors. After officers arrived, he is accused of spitting on them three times and then assaulting a jailer at the Dodge County Jail.

As of press time, Rodriguez remains in the Dodge County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond. No future court dates were available.
